The Cook I is responsible for assisting the Banquet Chef in all food production, used mainly for banquet functions, and assist with other outlets including the full-service restaurant. Will assist with creating and processing work list for day to day operation, developing menus for implementation and leading the banquet operation. Run the day to day operation of the banquet kitchen. Assist in creating and preparing menu items and specials. Communicate with the Sous Chefs and the Executive Chef regarding menu items, problem situations or shortages. Work closely with standards of quality in production and presentation. Maintain a good working relationship with other employees, providing instruction and encouragement as needed. Store items properly at the end of the shift. Ensure a clean, neat and organized work area. The ability to handle and report any accident immediately, no matter how minor. Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Shady Canyon Golf Club and encourage staff to do the same. Respond properly in any club emergency or safety situation. Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by club management and staff. Perform tasks for Sunday buffet and Holidays. Follow all guidelines for timely food service to guests. Employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the company as requested by the supervisor.
