About The Position

The Bankers Alley Nashville Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is seeking a Cook I to join their talented culinary team! The Bankers Alley Nashville Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is a stylish boutique hotel located in the heart of downtown Nashville near historic Printer’s Alley. Home to Gray & Dudley, the property offers a dynamic rooftop dining destination celebrated for its refined, seasonally driven menu and elevated Southern influenced cuisine. As part of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection, the property prides itself on individuality, authentic local character, and exceptional hospitality.

Requirements

  • At least one year of restaurant experience working the hot line in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Strong knife skills.
  • A desire to further develop technical consistency and execution.
  • A commitment to quality, organization, and cleanliness is essential.
  • Flexible availability with a professional attitude and willingness to learn is essential!

Nice To Haves

  • Hotel culinary experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of food items including but not limited to chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and preparing dishes from start to finish.
  • Follow recipes and directions and instructions provided by the Chef, Kitchen Supervisors and trainers.
  • Creating guest orders from start to finish in a friendly, timely, efficient and accurate manner.
  • Ensure menu and product knowledge.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations and kitchen equipment and following safety and sanitation guidelines according to federal, state, local and company regulations.
  • Properly label, store, and rotate ingredients to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • Properly chilling, heating and holding of product.
  • Help with setting up and breaking down kitchen stations for service.
  • Support other kitchen team members and/or departments during busy periods or special events.
  • Follow safety and sanitation policies at all times.
  • Receive and store kitchen deliveries as needed.
  • Continue to learn and apply culinary skills and knowledge with guidance from the kitchen team.
  • Effective communication within the kitchen, other departments and leaders.
