About The Position

The Cook I position is a Full-Time opportunity within the Dietary Department at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, primarily focusing on day shifts with potential for evening coverage. The role involves preparing food for patients, guests, and staff in a fast-paced food truck environment, emphasizing cleanliness, safety, and customer service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED - Required
  • Less than 1 year Food Service Experience Preferred
  • Less than 1 year Cooking Experience Preferred

Nice To Haves

  • ServSafe certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Measuring, mixing, portioning and cooking according to provided recipes and production charts for patients, guests, and staff.
  • Working clean, safe, and sanitary in accordance with department policies.
  • Filling out all logs, production charts, cleaning schedules, etc assigned by management in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Providing excellent customer service to our guests, patients, and staff.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Taking ownership of their area -- this position will be responsible for prepping, cooking, and engaging with customers.
