Requirements

Level Two Food Safe course through Public Health required
Demonstrates flexibility by changing routine to accommodate client/resident needs
Strong written and oral communication skills
Work within a team-oriented approach to tasks, and ability to respond and communicate with all levels of staff required
Required Proof of Vaccination
All employees new to Covenant Living must provide a criminal record check not older than 3 months ahead of your commencement date.

Nice To Haves

Red Seal or Journeyman Cook certification preferred
Minimum three (3) to five (5) years Institutional Cooking experience preferred (other relevant experience may be considered)

Responsibilities

Prepares, cooks and bakes a wide range of dietary menu items according to established Menu Plans and identified portions and prepares diet and therapeutic items as required.
Ensures all food handling and preparations are completed in a safe and satisfactory manner in accordance with established standards, processes and quantity controls.
Ensures all staffing and supplies are available for catering functions.
Reports equipment and hospitality deficiencies to the Hospitality Coordinator.
Model the organization's mission, vision, and values, consistently representing Covenant professionally and positively.
Collaborate effectively as a professional team player, supporting the achievement of Covenant’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
