About The Position
With over 700 locations in Japan and a rapid growth in the U.S, Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ is looking for candidates that are passionate about people and food to help spread out our dining culture with the world. We are looking for Cook/Dishwasher hybrid position in San Diego, CA.
Requirements
- Equivalent experience and familiarity with basic cooking supplies and equipment is preferred.
- Restaurant experience preferred
- Knowledge of general sanitary and safety practices
- Must maintain good hygiene
- Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain great enthusiasm
- Be a team player with strong work ethics
- Must be able to work holiday season (Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve, New Year)
- Must be available to work at least 4 shifts a week.
- Food Handler Certificate
Responsibilities
- Follows all recipes and performs food preparation & cooking duties including meat, salad, appetizers, entree, etc.
- Ensures a proper supply of clean dishware, pots, pans, and cooking/serving utensils are available
- Cleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparation
- Follows sanitation standards and always keeps workstation clean and sanitized.
- 100% responsibility for the cleanliness of dishware and grilling equipment.
- Helps with other tasks as assigned by Manager on Duty.
