About The Position

We are hiring a full-time Cook/Dietary Aide to work in a collaborative team setting to provide healthy and homemade meals within a convent home for Franciscan sisters in Chicago, IL. This is a full-time position (32 hours per week) working days and afternoons, including a weekend rotation. The Cook/Dietary Aide serves in a dual role that alternates between cook duties and dietary aide responsibilities throughout the work shift. This dual position is responsible for preparing, serving, and delivering food within the convent according to established menus, recipes, sanitary standards, and according to established policies and procedures. Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an institutional food service environment.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an eldercare setting is preferred (e.g. assisted living, long-term care, hospital, or other health care environments).
  • SERV Safe certification preferred.
  • Cook or Prep Cook experience is a PLUS!
