We are hiring a full-time Cook/Dietary Aide to work in a collaborative team setting to provide healthy and homemade meals within a convent home for Franciscan sisters in Chicago, IL. This is a full-time position (32 hours per week) working days and afternoons, including a weekend rotation. The Cook/Dietary Aide serves in a dual role that alternates between cook duties and dietary aide responsibilities throughout the work shift. This dual position is responsible for preparing, serving, and delivering food within the convent according to established menus, recipes, sanitary standards, and according to established policies and procedures. Our employees in all departments work together to strive to support the religious life of sisters by contributing to providing a warm and caring convent environment. We believe care partners in all departments should be able to engage in quality interpersonal experiences with sisters and engage in meaningful interactions during the course of every day.
