About The Position

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is searching for part-time Cook Crew Members to join our team at Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida. As a Cook Crew Member, you will help to bring the epic story of the U.S. space program to life. Embark on an extraordinary journey with a job at Kennedy Space Center, where every day allows you to share the excitement of space exploration with our guests.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
Prior experience as a cook is required.
Attention to detail is essential.
Must be able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays, and to work on-call by being scheduled within 24 hours.
Must be able to obtain a food handlers' certification.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to drive yourself to and from work.
This position requires authorization to work at Kennedy Space Center and completion of all site access requirements.

Nice To Haves

After 6 months of start date you are eligible to transfer to operations and retail departments.

Responsibilities

Handling, chopping, assembling, cooking and serving a wide variety of foods.
Safely operate, sanitize, and clean all equipment, including that used for food service.
Comply with all property and departmental standards as they pertain to safety and security.
You may be regularly required to drive yourself to a remote work location where public transportation is not available, and you will be asked to show NASA credentials for entry.
After 6 months of start date you are eligible to transfer to operations and retail departments.
Drive a company vehicle as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
