About The Position

Cooks are responsible for preparing, presenting, serving, cleaning up, and storing well-balanced, delicious meals. The role involves using menus designed for seniors and applying adaptability and critical-thinking skills to make changes as needed to ensure resident satisfaction. Encore Senior Living provides a full training program and is willing to train the right candidate.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A love for working with seniors.
• A flexible, fun, energetic, people-oriented approach, with the ability to project calm, care, and professionalism in work-related situations.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience preparing food from scratch or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, present, and serve well-balanced meals.
• Clean up after meal service and store food appropriately.
• Use menus specified for seniors and adapt meals as needed to ensure satisfaction.
