Requirements

  • Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and therapeutic or modified diets.
  • Ability to safely operate commercial kitchen equipment and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service while working efficiently under pressure.
  • Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, resident satisfaction, and quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-quality meals according to standardized recipes, production sheets, and resident dietary needs.
  • Accurately portion, plate, and serve food while maintaining presentation and quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dishwashing, dining, and food preparation areas.
  • Follow all food safety, infection prevention, and regulatory guidelines, including documenting food temperatures.
  • Open and close kitchen areas, including food storage, labeling, dating, and securing supplies.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and resident satisfaction.
  • Support supervisors, assist with team training, and promote a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Maintain professional and respectful interactions with residents, families, visitors, and team members.
  • Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and mission-centered expectations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
