About The Position

Prepare all menu items as directed by the Restaurant Chef. Operate equipment as directed. Prepare food in accordance with State and Federal Health Codes. Stock all food and supplies as directed by Restaurant Chef. Work all assigned areas in the Kitchen, such as Broiler, Prep, Sauté, Pantry, and Expediter. Follow all company procedures involving gaming regulations. Assist others in duties as directed by supervisors. Must assist patrons in answering questions and direct them to areas of safety during emergencies as instructed by management, security or senior crew members. Assure exceptional customer service to all internal and external patrons by communicating in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner always.

Requirements

  • Proficient in English verbal and written
  • Proficient with iOS devices
  • Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Must have two years cooking experience.
  • Must have neat and clean appearance.
  • Work within restricted area of Soft Count room with reasonable accommodation.
  • Bend, stand or stoop for long periods of time.
  • Communicate verbally and professionally.
  • See.
  • Must be able to hear. Can be augmented with a hearing aid.
  • Tolerate noisy and/or dimly lit environment.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of twenty pounds (20 lbs.).
  • Must have manual dexterity.
  • Climb stairs repeatedly.
  • Push/pull drop carts and drop boxes.
  • Repetitive motion, i.e. bending, pulling, opening boxes for drop and count process.
  • Work accurately with basic math skills
  • Write to complete daily reports.
  • Understand and comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Descriptions, daily memorandum and other written and verbal instructions.
  • Read and understand in order to communicate with patrons and co-workers.
  • Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to hold an Occupational License as required by the Illinois Gaming Board.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 Year experience preparing gourmet food items in an a la carte fine dining restaurant preferred.
  • Char broiler & Sauté experience as well as steak house foods desired.
