About The Position

Our Mission: To Connect, Empower, and Transform the lives of Children & Families About EOCF: Educational Opportunities for Children and Families (EOCF) is committed to supporting children and families through developmentally appropriate early learning programs. We believe in empowering staff and equipping classrooms to ensure every child thrives. Come join our team as a Cook & Driver and help us in a variety of capacities by using your heavy lifting ability to load/unload and deliver meals and other supplies to our classroom sites. You may also find yourself assisting with final preparation and packaging of hot/cold foods and supplies, general cleaning, and assisting with inventory/stocking supplies. Scheduled for 20 hours per week, with an hourly wage of $20.00. General schedule is Monday- Friday daytime hours.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
One year experience or education in food preparation/handling, batch cooking, and/or catering experience desired.
Delivery driving experience, preferred.
Valid Washington State Food Handlers Card
Valid First Aid and CPR card - EOCF will provide training if needed.
Valid Driver's License
Current Auto Insurance
Acceptable driving abstract
Knowledge of safe driving practices
Knowledge of Vancouver WA geographical area
Knowledge of principles of nutrition as it relates to children's healthy development.
Knowledge of principles of safe and healthy food storage, preparation, and service.
Knowledge of basic principles of grammar, written and oral communication, and mathematics.
Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, reach and twist on a continual basis.
Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as loaded boxes, crates, general hardware, equipment, dollies, hand trucks and various carts.
Ability to continually and safely lift and carry/maneuver up to 50+ lbs.
Ability to read, follow, understand and execute recipes and follow written and verbal directions precisely.
Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members and with clients from varying backgrounds.
