About The Position

This role will assist The View Culinary Team to operate efficiently and effectively by assisting with all food preparation, cooking, cleaning kitchen workspaces, and washing dishes. This position reports to the Culinary Leadership of The View.

Requirements

• 1 year as a line cook in a relative upscale environment.
• Demonstrates a genuine interest in supporting others.
• Ability to receive coaching and training to improve performance.
• Highly focused, self-starter with an elevated level of energy and positive outlook.
• Ability to remain resilient under pressure and effectively adapt to multiple demands, ambiguity, and rapid change.
• Good physical condition is required.
• Moderate exposure to physical risk.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• Existing knowledge of food safety procedures is preferred.
• 1 years as a line cook in a relative upscale environment
• Associates or Certificate in Culinary Arts

Responsibilities

• Prepare high quality meals according to The View’s recipes.
• Ensure excellence of food inventory management.
• Assist in all food preparation for various stations.
• Follow all food health and safety requirements.
• Facilitate all cleaning and sanitization of dishes, cookware, and utensils.
• Maintain cleanliness of all aspects of the kitchen.
• Assist with deliveries and proper storage of items.
• Communicate kitchen needs to supervisors.
• Work assigned station based on operational needs.
• Demonstrate a high level of efficiency in one station.
• Uphold the Statement of Faith, Core Values, and DNA of the College.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
