The position also involves preparing raw products, carving and portioning meats, plating and garnishing food, maintaining clean and safe workstations, replenishing supplies and food products, and operating and maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils. The cook stays informed about current events and programs and can direct guests around the property. Other reasonable related duties may be assigned as needed. The role requires one year of prior experience as a cook in a high-volume food service operation, a high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience, and the ability to obtain Serve Safe certification. The employee must be able to qualify for required licenses and permits. Physical requirements include regularly standing and handling objects, and the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds, with other movement requirements while working in varying areas, including confined spaces. The work environment usually has moderate noise; team members are under surveillance, and exposure to unrestricted second-hand tobacco smoke may occur.
