About The Position

The Parlour Inn is currently seeking a Cook 1 to join our growing team! This is a great opportunity that can provide flexibility, valuable work experience, and a chance to work with a tenured team. This posting is for an existing vacancy within Lais Hotel Properties Limited.

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience
  • Good communication and listening skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Must Have Breakfast Experience
  • Red Seal Certification
  • Basic knowledge of WHMIS and safe food handling
  • Professional work ethic
  • Excellent knife skills
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment
  • Current Safe Food Handler’s Certificate
  • Excellent food knowledge

Nice To Haves

  • Previous up-selling and/or sales experience is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Providing personalized and exceptional guest service at every given opportunity
  • Preparations of menu items according to specifications and Guest requests
  • Assist other team members as needed
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Assists with quality control
  • Performs stock rotation
  • Adhere to food standards set out by Lais Hotel Properties’ kitchen management
  • Having a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties’ products and services
  • Suggesting additional products and services meeting our Guests’ specific preferences
  • All other duties as assigned
