About The Position

This position is for a Cook 1 on the 1st Shift FLEX. The role involves assisting in preparing and serving menu items, maintaining a clean work environment, and demonstrating versatility in various kitchen stations. The cook will also be responsible for completing opening and closing duties, supporting team members, learning to operate kitchen equipment, and fostering positive relationships. Additional duties include cleaning storage areas, assisting with inventory, familiarizing oneself with the facility, participating in training, and adhering to workplace policies. Flexibility to work at different venues and varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required. A gaming license may be required for employees earning $50,000 or more annually.

Requirements

  • For full-time applicants aged 18 to 19, HSD or GED is required, or proof of current enrollment in an educational program.
  • For applicants aged 16 to 17, enrollment proof in an educational program is necessary for flex employment.
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment, cooking methods, and food safety.
  • Competent knife skills and culinary knowledge.
  • Familiarity with food products and preparation techniques.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to teamwork and positive guest interactions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Compliance with pre-employment screenings and health standards.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to maintain satisfactory working record in any prior or current employment.
  • Minimum age requirement of 16 years.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year of culinary experience.
  • Serve Safe Food Handlers certification within three months.

Responsibilities
