About The Position

The Conveyor Assembler maintains key performance measures for safety, quality, and delivery. The operator assembles products using a variety of tools, prints, routings, additional routing instructions (ARIs), and direction from Engineering or Supervision. The role may also involve duties elsewhere in the department or plant as assigned by supervision.

Requirements

• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand routings or work orders, additional routing instructions (ARIs), prints, bills of material (BOMs), and safety notifications.
• Ability to use applicable hand tools, such as torque wrenches and screwdrivers.
• Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the job, including regularly lifting or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to regularly stand, walk, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, and handle materials, and occasionally climb, balance, and crawl.
• Vision requirements include depth perception and color vision.
• Prior manufacturing experience is beneficial.
• Prior assembler experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as an assembler.

Responsibilities

• Receive job instructions from the supervisor.
• Observe operator proficiency and provide re-instruction when necessary.
• Operate material-handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate counts of materials, parts, and supplies, and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Keep workstations adequately supplied with parts and materials to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
• Report labor and job data accurately.
• Maintain quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Keep the work area clean and neat.
• Perform other duties within the department or plant as required by supervision.
