About The Position

Pratt Industries is seeking an experienced, safety-conscious leader to manage the Converting Department at the Lewisburg Corrugator. This role is responsible for upholding safety, quality, and production standards within the department.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 5 years of corrugated experience
At least 2 years in a Supervisory or Managerial role
Leadership Skills

Teaching, training, and coaching
Interpersonal communication
Employee relations
Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy
Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate
Able to apply concepts of high school math
Knowledge of equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation
Knowledge of cost issues in order to make daily decisions that will reduce overall costs and help find areas that require improvement
Knowledge of quality standards
Knowledge of regulatory requirements including but not limited to wage and hour requirements, environmental and waste minimization, company policies, and personnel requirements including OSHA, DEQ and EEO
Required to have a clamp truck license

Responsibilities

Lead Converting Supervisors and Hourly Employees
Oversee performance of shifts
Communicate plant standards to staff
Establish high morale throughout staff by showing fairness, consistency, and an interest in employee problems
Report mechanical, scheduling, or personnel problems to the Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager
Oversee the proper training and manning of plant converting positions
Oversee roll room and manage inventory
Responsible for the upkeep of machinery; coordinate maintenance work with a minimum of downtime
Help with solutions to solve production problems
Implement, maintain, and support all company policies and procedures, safety program, and good housekeeping
Additional duties may be assigned by management
