About The Position
The Converting Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient production of filter sheets using water jet and punch press equipment. This role supports product quality, regulatory compliance, and production efficiency in a GMP / ISO-regulated manufacturing environment. This opportunity is open to qualified internal candidates interested in expanding their manufacturing skills and experience.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow work instructions, safety rules, and quality standards
- Basic math, measurement, and computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
Nice To Haves
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Perform required equipment safety inspections
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Set up, inspect, and operate water jet and punch press equipment
- Verify alignment, measurements, and cut quality
- Inspect test cuts, work-in-process, and finished products for defects
- Comply with GMP and ISO requirements
- Verify materials, lots, and work orders prior to production
- Accurately complete production and quality documentation
- Package and label finished goods per work order instructions
- Properly identify scrap or reusable materials
- Support inventory counts as assigned
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, maintenance, safety, and warehouse teams
- Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors and coworkers
