About The Position

The Convention Services and Catering Coordinator is responsible for providing essential administrative and clerical support to the department, ensuring that all tasks align with MGM Resorts International's guest service standards and policies. This role involves managing client communications, preparing event documentation, and collaborating with managers to facilitate seamless execution of catering and convention services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required
  • 1+ years of prior relevant experience in a related position, or equivalent education and experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent service consistent with the property's core service standards and brand
  • Partner with managers to have a thorough understanding of each program assigned.
  • Answer and direct all incoming telephone calls with a smile; assist in responding to customer correspondence and requests
  • Prepare guest reservations and guest amenities
  • Input program information into Amadeus/Delphi including notes, events, updates, etc.
  • Maintain files and access to highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Assist in the handling of clients of the assigned Director and/or Manager as needed in his/her absence
  • Manage catering inquiries, including phone and email communication with clients
  • Prepare and distribute the Daily Event Sheet from the BEOs to all departments
  • Complete and distribute reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Accurately prepare the BEOs to meet specifications given by clients and/or Managers and process all changes in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties as requested by assigned Director and/or Manager
