About The Position

A Controls Tech will diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical equipment. Assist with project related design, installation, and commissioning of controls systems.

Requirements

  • Ability to navigate ladder logic. Allen Bradley and Siemens.
  • Ability to work with 24 DC to 480 volts AC.
  • Ability to use test equipment such as a multi-meter, megger, phase rotation meter, and oscilloscope.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability and knowledge to troubleshoot and repair electrical problems of CNC mills, lathes, shapers, and forge press controls.
  • Ability to learn Keyence laser software and 2D barcode software to make adjustments.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc or Nachi robots for recovery, point adjustment and program change.
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits / equipment.
  • Able to drive a forklift, scissor lift / articulating arm boom truck.

  • Understand some aspects of project related design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Assist with general parts research, as necessary.
  • Analyzes and resolves machine and conveyor problems.
  • Establishes or adjusts work processes to meet production schedules.
  • Resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Work with Engineering on any process and 10 foot circle improvement.
