About The Position

United CoolAir, LLC. is an original equipment manufacturer of HVAC products with over 35 years of service. We are seeking a Controls Technician to join our team at our York, PA facility. This role involves modifying application software for UCA microprocessor-controlled products, supporting VFD operations, and providing product support. The position also includes supporting field service, UCA customers, and production testing for troubleshooting electrical and controls issues across all UCA products.

Requirements

• Minimum associate’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 1-3 years of post-education experience with controls.
• Strong independent troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in troubleshooting electrical and controls circuits.
• Understanding of IEC 61131-3 programming standards.
• Capable of self-leadership with attention to detail, accuracy, and multi-tasking and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to meet company goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Create, test, and prove control software applications for customer HVAC products.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with engineering, sales, and purchasing regarding requirements for building controls in light commercial HVAC units.
• Configure and upload application programs for production unit controllers.
• Create and update documentation, controls literature, VFD parameters, ECM Fans, etc.
• Provide field support for customer-purchased products.
• Support production testing.
• Provide sales support.
• Engage in research and development.
• Review product Bill of Materials for product build correctness.
