The CONTROLS TECHNICIAN Specialist leads and oversees activities in the OneSubsea controls department. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing issues related to leaks, pressure, and component failures within the subsea environment. The technician will review routings, communicate necessary changes to engineering and project coordination, and diagnose electrical faults. They will also train and guide employees, conduct meetings, track hour performance, and ensure work orders are closed out proficiently. This position requires periodic review and support of HARCS updates, answering questions about ongoing work, and reporting progress to management. The technician will assume responsibility for all work under their leadership and support the work area with limited supervision, while maintaining professional relationships with colleagues and customer representatives. They will troubleshoot major issues during testing with engineering guidance, execute planned and preventative maintenance on controls equipment, and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FIT) and Site Received Testing (SRT) for various subsea control systems. Additionally, the role provides technical support for extended factory acceptance testing (EFAT) and deck pre-deployment testing (PDT), as well as miscellaneous manifold integration and EFAT testing. The technician will mentor and train electronic technicians, maintain controls test equipment and facilities, and work with inventory planners to ensure proper storage of controls equipment. This role also involves providing cost estimating for all controls-related scopes.
