We are seeking a Controls Technician who is a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong technical aptitude and problem-solving ability. This individual will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automated systems that support manufacturing operations, while also providing technical support across Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams.

Requirements

Strong working knowledge of PLC logic and software tools, including Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, RS Logix.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and technical documentation.
Familiarity with computer systems for documenting maintenance activities, program changes, and system configurations.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and system integrity.
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
Perform the job safely while adhering to company safety standards.

Nice To Haves

Experience in metal stamping, fabrication, or automotive manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair control system reliability issues, including control panels, wiring, sensors, instrumentation, vision systems, and VFDs.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues throughout the plant.
Perform preventive maintenance and calibration on controls and instrumentation systems.
Modify and update ladder logic to resolve production or system performance issues.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and technical documentation.
Respond promptly to maintenance and production support calls to troubleshoot and resolve equipment or control system issues, minimizing downtime.
Install and configure new I/O modules, sensors, and VFDs to integrate with existing systems.
Document maintenance activities, program changes, and system configurations using computer systems.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to achieve production goals and minimize downtime.
Train operators and junior technicians on basic troubleshooting and safe control system operation.
