About The Position

Air Control Concepts is seeking an HVAC Controls Technician responsible for onsite verification of wiring, device checkout, system commissioning, programming, troubleshooting, and overall system functionality. This role involves regular communication with management, the Controls Project Manager, engineers, and other technicians to ensure the delivery of a fully functional system to the customer. Requirements

  • Technical degree in field or relative experience.
  • 5+ years of HVAC Controls experience
  • Valid Driver’s License and can pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Proficient with HVAC Systems, Electrical understanding & ability to interpret construction drawings.

Responsibilities

  • High level of focus on Safety and use of Personal Protective Equipment on all Sites inclusive of ensuring any employee or subcontractor follows safety procedures.
  • Integrity focused by doing the right thing in any situation.
  • Being proactive in Communication both internal and external
  • Working with Commissioning Agents
  • Point to Point Checkouts
  • Graphic Generation
  • Communicate project status to project manager on a regular basis.
  • Provide direction to subcontractors
  • Jobsite communication and coordination with other trades.
  • Write and Download controller software as needed.
  • Ensure programming and commissioning get completed per design & on schedule.
  • Perform customer training as needed.
  • Respond to warranty calls.
  • Pursue Change Orders when practical
  • Complete administrative tasks such as project documentation, weekly timesheet, expenditures, & vehicle maintenance on time.
  • Proficient with HVAC Systems, Electrical understanding & ability to interpret construction drawings.
  • Participates in job take-offs and estimate reviews as required.
  • Respond to Service Calls as needed
  • Other duties as required by management.
