Our Site based in Garland (Texas), is currently looking for Controls Technician The Controls Technician is responsible for designing, programming, configuring, and maintaining automated control systems to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety. This role works with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, motor drives, and other automation equipment while partnering with Maintenance and Engineering to support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in controls, automation design, programming, and troubleshooting.
  • Allen-Bradley PLC programming (Studio 5000 and RSLogix).
  • Ignition SCADA systems.
  • Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
  • Kinetix and PowerFlex Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
  • Preventive maintenance practices.
  • Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Teamwork and collaboration.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Program and configure Allen-Bradley PLCs using Studio 5000 and RSLogix.
  • Design, troubleshoot, and support Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
  • Maintain and support the Ignition SCADA system.
  • Perform system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Provide technical support and problem analysis for automation and controls-related issues.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering on equipment improvements and automation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
