About The Position
The Controls Tech will play a pivotal role in the facilities operation by troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in the plant.
Requirements
- An Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Controls Technician or in a similar role.
- A strong understanding of electrical and electronic principles.
- Proficiency in PLC programming.
- Familiarity with industrial networks (e.g., Ethernet, DeviceNet).
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair control systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other automated systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with control systems, ensuring low downtime and optimal functionality.
- Program and calibrate control systems for optimal performance, using various programming languages and software.
- Work closely with engineers and other technical staff to design and develop control systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide training and support to end users on the operation and maintenance of control systems.
