The Controls Systems Architect is responsible for developing, standardizing, and advancing Heatcraft’s control system technologies to ensure performance, reliability, and consistency across products. This role involves developing and documenting control algorithms to improve system performance, reliability, and diagnostics. The architect will define engineering specifications and contribute to the standardization of control system platforms. They will coordinate electronics and software design projects with internal teams and external partners, ensuring requirements, documentation, milestones, and schedules are met. The role also includes overseeing supplier hardware and firmware designs to confirm compliance with requirements, leading feasibility studies, modeling, analysis, verification & validation, and system integration. Additionally, the architect will create sequences of operation, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and control schematics. They will provide technical support to regional engineers, assist with field issue resolution, conduct field testing, analyze results, and validate system performance. The position also supports product release through Stage-Gate processes, design handoffs, product literature, and service training.
