Controls Project Engineer
About The Position
This Controls Project Engineer role is really aimed at someone who has been deeply involved in custom automation for 7+ years and can own a project from controls design through debug, startup, commissioning, and support. The sweet spot is a senior controls engineer with strong PLC and HMI programming experience, solid electrical controls design skills, AutoCAD experience, and a background in automated assembly equipment or factory automation. Allen-Bradley preferred, Siemens a plus. Ladder logic is preferred, structured text, function block, sequential function chart, and Visual Basic. Needs strong customer-facing and supplier-facing communication skills.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in custom automation
- Strong PLC and HMI programming experience
- Solid electrical controls design skills
- AutoCAD experience
- Background in automated assembly equipment or factory automation
- Strong customer-facing and supplier-facing communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Allen-Bradley experience preferred
- Siemens experience a plus
