As a world leader in creating comfortable, sustainable, and efficient climate solutions for buildings, homes and transportation, it's our responsibility to put the planet first. For us at Trane Technologies, and through our businesses including Trane® and Thermo King, sustainability is not just how we do business—it is our business. This field-based role involves on-site work at customer locations. The technician will be responsible for the installation of building automation systems, using a variety of hand tools and interpreting control drawings, plans, and specifications to install temperature control systems including conduit, enclosures, wiring and end devices. Preparation for on-site installation includes examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work with other trades. The role also involves maintaining an assigned stock of inventory and company equipment, documenting all related activities, and ensuring customer satisfaction by servicing products and equipment on assigned projects. The technician will also keep current on Trane products, inspect and maintain assigned vehicles, and maintain tools and equipment. Safety is a top priority, with continuous enforcement of safety standards and accountability for company assets. The role requires regular travel, occasional overnight stays, and flexibility to work overtime as needed.
