About The Position

The Controls HMI Engineer designs, develops, tests, deploys, and commissions industrial HMI and SCADA solutions for automated material handling and parcel logistics systems. The role uses HMI/SCADA, PLC integration, industrial networking, database connectivity, and visualization expertise to provide safe, reliable, maintainable, operator-focused systems. The engineer supports the full project lifecycle, from requirements definition and functional design through software development, emulation, factory acceptance testing, field commissioning, site acceptance testing, customer training, and post-deployment support. The position works with controls, electrical, mechanical, software, commissioning, project management, installation, and customer teams to integrate visualization successfully with the broader automation system. The role also contributes to HMI engineering standards, reusable graphic libraries, alarm management practices, software quality processes, technical documentation, and continuous improvement. It is a full-time, exempt position in a hybrid work setting, based with Körber’s parcel logistics team in Irving, Texas. Travel may be up to 40% of the year, including short assignments and multiple 10/4 rotations. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
