The Electrical Field Service Technician position performs electrical and controls field service work in a industrial computer-based environment on envelope converting equipment. Working as part of a team, the technician will test, install, start up and demonstrate envelope converting equipment – including PLC/servo-controls die-cutting, gumming, folding, seam-forming and window-patching sections. The role also involves training customers on the operation and electrical maintenance of this equipment in their facility. The technician diagnoses and resolves electrical, controls, and process issues on envelope converting equipment, both on-site and remotely. This includes troubleshooting PLC and servo control systems, interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, identifying root causes of equipment faults, and implementing corrective actions to minimize customer downtime. The technician also provides ongoing technical support to customers and communicates recurring issues to engineering to support continuous improvement of the equipment.
