We specialize in producing high-quality personal care and household products. We are seeking a Controls Engineering Manager for our First Quality Home Care Products facility in Salt Lake City, UT. This role involves leading a team of automation technicians in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of automated control systems within production. The position is key to advancing plant operations and the digital ecosystem of the Salt Lake City plant, serving as a flagship for First Quality Home Care Products®. The manager will set the strategic vision for the plant, including daily operational support and metrics aligned with a 5-year operations master plan. Responsibilities include overseeing the design, programming, and commissioning of automation systems, collaborating with operations, maintenance, and project teams on capital projects and equipment upgrades, and establishing/enforcing controls standards, documentation practices, and change management processes. The role also focuses on increasing automation reliability, driving root cause analysis for system failures, managing the department budget, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting new product launches and process changes. Collaboration with the engineering department on electrical and controls documentation is also a key aspect.
