Controls Engineering Internship/Co-op
About The Position
The working term for this position will be from May 2027 through August 2027. Location: Onsite at our Greenville, South Carolina facility. Internship Type: Full-Time, Paid. As a Controls Engineering Intern/Co-Op, you will assist and support other Controls Engineers. Learn from some of the most dedicated and technically competent engineers in the Automation Industry. JR Automation drives change by learning and innovating faster than anyone else. As a member of a project team, you’ll work alongside our Applications, Controls, Mechanical, and Build teams to support the design, build, program, and deployment of custom automated equipment.
Requirements
- High School graduate, or equivalent.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college program pursuing an engineering degree.
- Basic proficiency in CAD.
- Basic knowledge of electrical/pneumatic schematic drawing packages.
- Basic proficiency in programming languages.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Computer literacy in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Willingness to learn and the ability to be flexible.
- Ability to make positive contributions to the company in response to the training provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist and support other Controls Engineers.
- Work alongside Applications, Controls, Mechanical, and Build teams to support the design, build, program, and deployment of custom automated equipment.
- Perform routine technical work which does not require previous experience.
- Learn and perform basic programming skills.
