About The Position
The Electrical & Controls Engineer Intern will ideally have a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering concepts that will aid their communication and collaboration with other members of the Electrical & Controls Team. Will assist in the construction, installation, operation, maintenance, testing and systems requirements writing of electric-over-hydraulic control systems employed at JLG.
Requirements
- Perusing a bachelor’s in electrical engineering, Controls Engineering, Robotics Engineering or a related field
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
Responsibilities
- Understand, follow, and enforce shop safety practices and policy.
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers.
- Perform job duties in an ethical, professional manner which is consistent with the Oshkosh Way.
- Conduct duties consistent with the Company’s mission statement, quality objectives, and defined policies and procedures.
- Promote a people first culture by integrating into and contributing to a cohesive team with creativity, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to build and install wire harnesses.
- Ability to follow written test procedures.
- Ability to learn and operate a Digital-Multimeter (DMM)
- Troubleshoot electrical controls related process and component issues.
- Instrumentation and controls debugging
- Start-up and qualification of control systems on new equipment
- Execute controls projects under the guidance of engineering
- Other duties as assigned.
- Regular attendance is required.
