About The Position

The controls engineer will lead plant-wide and corporate-wide projects to optimize, upgrade, and enhance the controls systems of our manufacturing equipment. The controls engineer will work to develop and improve machine and process concepts with a cross-functional team including other engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance personnel. The controls engineer will also manage project scope, schedule, and budget. This position will work closely with project engineering, process engineering, and maintenance.

Requirements

  • BS degree or equivalent experience in engineering.
  • 1 – 3+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • College level written and verbal English skills
  • College level Geometry, Algebra, and Trigonometry
  • Strong Root cause problem solving, visualization and quality tools
  • Microsoft Office programs
  • Planning, analytical, assertive, and interact with various groups
  • Strong robotic experience in Fanuc and Vision Guided Systems
  • Strong PLC experience with Allen Bradley and Modicon with ladder logic and structured text
  • Electrical and electronic troubleshooting knowledge
  • Basic understanding of networking
  • Sercos, Device Net, Ethernet I/P
  • Proficient in AutoCAD electrical and SolidWorks.
  • Basic understanding of PID and process control.

  • Project management experience preferred
  • Proworx NXT, Modsoft, Panel Builder, Vision Ware, Motion Ware, RS View 32, FTView, RS Logic 5, RS 500, Studio 5000, Ignition, Fanuc Robo Guide, Cognex Vision Tools, Keyence Vision Tools.

Responsibilities

  • Implement PLC and Robot logic changes
  • Modify documentation for electrical schematics and operations instructions.
  • Provide technical support to maintenance and operations
  • Coordinate electrical control equipment build, installation and training
