As the Controls Engineer you will plan, design, and execute electrical engineering and controls work associated with all aspects of manufacturing and assembly equipment, including custom integration and purchased machinery. You will provide controls and electrical engineering design and programming for custom assembly applications including hardware specification, integration, electrical BOM, and schematics. You will also facilitate advanced troubleshooting and repair of equipment, ensure machine safety by reading, interpreting, and applying relevant codes, and update design specifications and modify existing equipment as needed. This role involves controlling all programs and electrical equipment drawings, ensuring current revisions are available for maintenance staff, and supporting new product development by collaborating with engineering and project teams for assembly and testing solutions. You will provide guidance and technical solutions for Engineering and Manufacturing initiatives, projects, and improvement activities, and support the design and implementation of automated manufacturing technology, including robotics, vision systems, and advanced motion control. Additionally, you will maintain shop floor data system applications, identify and develop new hardware, software, and controls technology applications, and work with integrators and machine builders in multiple aspects including design reviews and development of automation equipment. You will execute improvement opportunities and strategic projects for the facility, develop business case and Capital Expenditure Requests for new or replacement controls hardware, and communicate and collaborate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization. You will also compile, prepare, and present data for project updates and presentations.
