About The Position
Dauch is looking for a Controls Engineer to join our team in North Vernon, IN. As a Controls Engineer, you must be able to perform each crucial duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in electrical drawings, ladder logic, HMI programs and integrate Safety PLC control systems for machinery and automation.
- Experience in Allen Bradley PLC’s, Servo Controllers, HMI products, and software.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate control systems, products, components, and applications.
- Evaluate new manufacturing and control technologies, adapting into specifications as appropriate.
- Confirm control system functionality, including appropriate safety compliance, by designing and/or executing test procedures.
- Prepare and/or reviews electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls drawings; collaborates with related engineering teams to evaluate components, materials, and suppliers.
- Ensure integrity of process and build data collection.
- Provide information to manufacturing, process, and other engineering disciplines by answering questions and requests.
- Keep equipment operating by performing periodic audits; troubleshooting breakdowns; requesting supplies; defining and reviewing preventive maintenance plans; calling for repairs; and implementing process improvements.
- Maintain project documents using approved methodology, tools, and templates.
- Manage supplier development and delivery.
- All other duties as assigned.
