About The Position

As a Controls / Automation Engineer, you will be working across industries to provide outstanding Operational Technology related programs, interfaces, documentation and support. You could be working on assembly lines, well heads, datacenters, beverage facilities, and providing managed SCADA services - all in the same week. Our team is expected to learn and to grow to be proficient across multiple skillsets while becoming an expert in 2-3 key disciplines. The role will require excellence as an individual contributor as well as working as part of a larger team. Work is completed in hybrid work environments, in office with the team, occasionally from home, and in the field for commissioning or on-going support as needed. Target travel expectation for the year is 20%. Employees may elect to be on a travel team with higher travel requirements and receive additional compensation.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering
  • Drug Free work environment
  • Valid Driver's license and ability to travel without restrictions
  • Familiarity with 61131-3 Programming
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and detail-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work with cross-functional and discipline teams effectively
  • Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Red Lion, Opto22, Ignition, VT SCADA, Phoenix Contact, Emerson, and other platform experience (Above entry level)
  • Advanced Process Control Expertise (Above entry level)
  • Discrete Automation and Robotic Controls (Above entry level)
  • Expertise with P&IDs, Control Narratives, Cause and Effects, SIS (Above entry level)
  • Electrical Engineering (Above entry level)
  • UL, IEC, NIST, CSA and other industrial standards (Above entry level)
  • Drive expertise AC/DC/Servo/VFD (Above entry level)

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding Operational Technology related programs, interfaces, documentation and support.
  • Work on assembly lines, well heads, datacenters, beverage facilities, and provide managed SCADA services.
  • Learn and grow to be proficient across multiple skillsets while becoming an expert in 2-3 key disciplines.
  • Function as an individual contributor and as part of a larger team.
  • Complete work in hybrid environments, in office, occasionally from home, and in the field for commissioning or on-going support.
  • Design, procure, program, and support RTU, PLC, Flow Computer, SCADA and DCS systems.
  • Perform Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls Engineering and procurement.
  • Design, procure, fabricate, and test Control Panel and VFD Panel with full service programming and integrated Factory Acceptance Testing.
  • Provide Managed SCADA hosting and services.
  • Work with major brands including Rockwell, Siemens, Opto22, Red Lion, Schneider and more.
  • Support all industries including energy, manufacturing, food and beverage, water wastewater, building automation, oil and gas, renewable, pharmaceuticals and more.
