This role supports production by troubleshooting and programming existing and new plant automation equipment. The Controls Engineer will program and design new and existing PLC controls, and may travel to sister plants as needed. This position requires maintaining accurate and consistent schedules for projects and tasks across multiple plant projects. Responsibilities include programming robots, optimizing line flow, cycle times, and quality concerns through programming changes or troubleshooting controls. The engineer will also help plan preventative maintenance, develop new technology to improve cycle times and quality detection/prevention systems, train plant technicians and engineers on controls-related skills, create and correct plant electrical drawings, and work with plant teams to develop accurate quoting models.
