The Controls Engineer works in a manufacturing plant environment, contributing to achieving quality objectives by creating applications that provide accurate data for monitoring system/goal implementation. Requirements

  • Must be flexible in hours of work to meet internal/external customer requirements (scheduled and non-scheduled overtime shifts, etc.)
  • Ability to travel internationally (if required)
  • Ability to work overtime may be required to meet customer expectations
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk and listen
  • Must frequently general good health to meet fast paced environment, and sometimes high stress situations
  • Must be able to function in a very fast pace moving environment
  • Familiar with Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCat 3, Siemens Simotion, Siemens WinCC IEC61131 SCADA Development systems
  • Knowledge of efficiency tracking, root cause analysis, and KPIs
  • Knowledge of electrical code (NEC and NFPA)
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in automotive and manufacturing environment
  • Experience applying machine safety requirements (ISO 12100 & 13849)

  • Licensed Industrial Electrician with apprenticeship
