This role is located at our Twinsburg, OH manufacturing facility and will require onsite work. The Controls Engineer will report to the Team Lead, Manufacturing Engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Bachelor's degree in Controls, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Experience with programing PLCs, HMIs and SCADA system

Responsibilities

  • Provide plant support through the performance of installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of Rockwell equipment and systems in plant's operation.
  • Implements solutions and performs design and/or programming modifications to plant's equipment on assigned projects to include hardware and software modifications to complex electrical and control systems.
  • Program PLCs, HMIs and SCADA systems for new or modified equipment.
  • Maintain automation and equipment including working with plant support groups such as Advance Manufacturing and Advance process automation.
  • Troubleshoot problems, identify, and implement new or amended system functionality, identify operational process gaps, and take corrective actions.
  • Recommend and initiate modifications or replacement of equipment, which fail to meet operating standards.
  • Execute initiatives supporting our automation strategy, manage operating workflows and progress continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Perform project management function for customer projects including needs identification, scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
  • Process owner of all the automation and robotics in the plant while developing validation and verification systems in the existing process and resolving issues with vision systems implemented in all automation.
  • Develop and write documentation as required (validation project plans, standard operating procedures, qualification summary reports, system audits, technical reports, traceability matrix, etc.).
  • Communicate with all the plant's different functions and management regarding project details.
