About The Position
This is an Office Controls Engineer position in Houston, TX, with a large controls contractor that operates in multiple states. The company has over 200 employees and works on both owner/direct projects and plan-and-spec retrofit and service work. The role involves 50% owner/direct work and 50% plan-and-spec work. The company offers significant engineering support from its headquarters.
Requirements
- Experience with MS Visio or AutoCAD for design
- Ability to create PID loops
- Experience with submittals
- Parts selection experience
- Familiarity with SOOs (Statement of Objectives)

- Design Engineer who wants to learn programming
Responsibilities
- Programming and System Design using MS Visio or AutoCAD
- Create applications primarily in pre-package libraries and standardized databases
- Create PID loops
- Work on submittals
- Select parts
- Review sequences and comments, as most projects come with SOOs
- VPN into site
