About The Position

The company blends/incorporates Building Automation service offerings with Energy Engineering-Analytics services. This role is for a Controls Engineer focusing on BAS Layout/Architecture within the Energy Engineering/Analytics & Building Automation sector. The company serves clientele including Class A Buildings, Data Centers, Education, and Healthcare sectors, with a significant amount of BAS Controls Work that is growing.

Requirements

• Prior positions as a Controls Engineer, Application Engineer, or Design Engineer
• Interest in where Energy Engineering/Analytics meets Building Automation Implementation
• Understanding of Mechanical Systems

Responsibilities

• Create Sequence of Operations (SOOs) for each project
• Design the BAS Layout & Architecture
• Utilize either MS Visio or AutoCAD
• Deliver SOOs to appropriate team member
• Communicate with the field team in case there are adjustments to SOOs
• Perform job-walks/site visits
• Receive estimate/assist with the estimate
• Select the controllers for the applications
• Size/design the panels
• Select transformers and power sizing
• Daisy-chain drawings for controllers
• Select sensors that are spec’d in the submittals and make sure they work
• Design with CAD
• Submit the submittal package
• Order parts after submittal package is accepted
• Hand-off to the Install/Field team
