Our client is looking for a Controls Engineer to join their team in Montezuma, IA This position pays between 75k - 85k/year Summary: Provides technical expertise for programming installation and maintenance of new and existing equipment to ensure product quality and continuous improvement to the manufacturing processes. Responsible for troubleshooting manufacturing/support equipment while keeping safety as priority. Provide training and technical support to production and skilled trade team members.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Two- or four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and/or 4 years job related experience

Responsibilities

Ensure that operator safety devices function properly.
Ability to perform electrical diagnosis, recommend repair or repair as needed.
To work in a safe, quality minded and productive manner with a sense of urgency to achieve maintenance deadlines and to attain production priorities as scheduled.
Support goal of achieving first time quality and efficiency.
Maintain accurate documentation resulting in shared knowledge of issues and lessons learned.
Troubleshoot and train others on identifying root causes of equipment failures.
Oversee all upgrades and programming changes.
Ensure that line is built in accordance with all aspects of the latest version of the LMV Automotive Systems build standards.
Utilize good working knowledge of all technologies used in the development and build of automated assembly lines.
Ensure effective deployment of all available resources.
Develop and implement innovative solutions to manufacturing issues related to product development or enhancement.
Evaluate and make recommendation on equipment updates.
Troubleshoot programming failures and adjusts as necessary.
Evaluates and makes recommendations on new equipment.
Sets up new programs, PLC ladder logic, robot interfacing and documentation.
Implements improvements in cycle time of robotic welding and assemblies.
Trains personnel in the use of robot interfacing and PLC ladder logic.
Has a responsibility to help develop all maintenance apprentices and give guidance where needed.
