About The Position

OVERVIEW Reporting to the Engineering Manager the successful candidate will have responsibility for maintaining and enhancing the Company’s packaging and warehouse control systems in a manner that is consistently driven for improved performance in accordance to industry standards.

Requirements

  • Solid project management experience
  • Excellent understanding of a range of process control tools and techniques. Preferably Allen Bradley and Wonderware ArchestraA
  • Demonstrated experience programming multiple Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or in relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years related work experience in process and/or packaging engineering.

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PPT, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to speak with a high level of professionalism and presence to individuals or groups at all levels within the organization
  • Troubleshooting / Problem Solving methodologies (Six Sigma or similar).
  • Interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to lead improvement efforts, seeking input and feedback, and implementation of improvement efforts and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance control hardware and software.
  • Communicate with all levels of site personnel to ensure understanding of changes to the control systems
  • Provide specialist knowledge to the site for capital projects and assist with replacement of legacy control systems when required.
  • Evaluate changes/upgrades to packaging warehouse control systems and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Create and share best practice amongst the controls engineer group, ensuring that the teams at Crockett are using ‘one system’
  • Provide call out support in line with the company procedure.
  • Identify opportunities to improve overall packaging line efficiencies.
  • Improve data collection and collation methods.
  • Lead problem solving teams to identify root cause of issues or equipment failure to drive continuous improvement.
