Controls Engineer, Commissioning Automation
About The Position
Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI, aiming to deliver 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else. This involves rethinking every layer of the stack, from acquiring power to designing, building, and operating data centers. This role focuses on engineering automated commissioning from the controls side, building a functional test library, running automated commissioning on live sites, and feeding results upstream to improve design and controls standards.
Requirements
- Commissioned building or data center control systems hands-on.
- Written the test procedures, not just executed them.
- Program BMS or PLC platforms well enough to embed tests in logic.
- Analyze trend data to find the failure the point check missed.
- Turned repeat findings into upstream fixes.
Nice To Haves
- L4 and L5 commissioning at scale.
- Tridium, ALC, Siemens, or PLC platforms.

Responsibilities
- Engineer automated commissioning from the controls side: test sequences written into the control layer itself.
- Build the functional test library: every device and sequence in the reference design with an automated test to match.
- Run automated commissioning on live sites: execute, analyze, and disposition failures with the field team.
- Feed results upstream: design and controls standards fixed where tests keep failing.
