About The Position

This role involves reviewing submittal drawings and data for customer design approval, creating and releasing drawings, part numbers, and special parts for orders. The engineer will also produce Bills of Material for panel assemblies and the electrical section of Operation and Maintenance Manuals. This position coordinates with Mechanical Engineering on contract projects.

Requirements

Must be computer literate and knowledgeable of MS Office software.
Proficiency with AutoCad and/or AutoCad Electrical is a must.
Strong verbal and written skills are critical.
Able to negotiate the Company’s position with customers while maintaining favorable relationship.

Responsibilities

Review preparation of submittal drawings and data required for customer design approval.
Create and release new drawings, part numbers and special parts for orders.
Produce Bills of Material for panel assemblies.
Produce electrical section of the Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
Create PLC/HMI programs for simple projects and shop test them.
Design and/or inspect equipment for specification compliance.
Issue engineering change orders.
Support development and maintenance of Standard Electrical Drawing Packages for the most common product configurations.
Provide certified testing data.
Work with vendors to locate components and obtain quotes.
Provide technical support to Customer Service, Customers, Sales and Manufacturing.
Support maintenance of datasheets, engineering publications and the Engineering Standards Manual.
Review preliminary designs and provide customer plans and specification reviews.
