About The Position

Join a controls integrator that has doubled in size annually — every project is custom, no two assignments are the same. This is a full-time, permanent career opportunity with a fast-growing controls integration firm that has been doubling in revenue annually. The environment here is deliberately non-repetitive — every project is a custom solution, and engineers regularly move between large-scale software integrations, conveyor sortation systems, robotic welding cells, and servo-driven motion applications. The company treats its engineers well: when production demands require weekend travel, comp days are applied immediately so you come back to a four-day weekend — no exceptions, no pressure to absorb it. If you want to own your projects, see your code run live on the floor, and work somewhere your name actually means something, this is the right move.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional PLC programming experience — Rockwell/Allen-Bradley RS500/RS5000 required; must write from scratch, not just modify existing code

  • Stable work history — minimum three years of tenure at prior employers
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically 25%–50% for system implementations
  • U.S. citizen or Green Card holder residing within 45 minutes of the Greater Milwaukee area

  • Implementing industrial networking and safety protocols — EtherNet/IP, servo motion, vision systems, and safety controllers (NEC/OSHA compliant)
  • Serving as lead technical authority during on-site startups — traveling to customer facilities to oversee installation and final commissioning
