About The Position

America’s Home Health Services (AHHS) is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Controller to oversee all financial operations of the organization. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and reconciliations, and providing data-driven insights to support business growth. The ideal candidate is both detail-oriented and analytical, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
  • Home Health Care experience preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with leadership responsibilities preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with financial analysis, forecasting, and business intelligence tools
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Perform and manage account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all accounts
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain internal controls and financial policies
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Conduct business analytics to identify trends, improve performance, and support strategic decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations
  • Oversee audits and work with external accountants as needed
  • Continuously evaluate and improve financial systems and processes
