About The Position

The intent of this applicant pool is to create a list of qualified applicants who are interested in temporary employment as a Controller at Butte College. Temporary non-regular employment applications are accepted on a continuous basis until the position(s) are filled. Butte Glenn Community College would like to invite you to join our team as a temporary Controller. Butte College is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Controller to join our Fiscal Services team. This is a new position and will report to the Director of Fiscal Services. The Controller will provide comprehensive leadership and technical expertise across all accounting operations, financial reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong fiscal expertise and a continuous improvement mindset. This position will play a key role in driving efficiency, ensuring strong internal controls, and establishing timely, accurate financial information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or public administration.
• Five (5) years of increasingly responsible financial and accounting experience including detailed financial reporting.
• One (1) year of management and/or supervisory level experience directly related to the responsibilities in this class.
• Direct experience coordinating and preparing Annual Financial Audit Reports and implementing new accounting standards.
• Ability to provide a complete online application with thorough information regarding work history.
